What is the second way to find Gemini?

The second way to find Gemini is to use Ursa Major, commonly known as The Big Dipper, as a guide. This method is more complicated than the last. There are four steps to this method. 1. Locate The Big Dipper. 2. Draw an imaginary line between the first to stars of the handle on the Big Dipper to the star of the lower front of the cup. 3. Extend this imaginary line to a bright star, this is Pollux the brightest star in Gemini, next to it is another bright star, this is Castor. 4. Track Southeast from Castor and Pollux and trace out the rest of the constellation.

How do you find the Gemini constellation?

The first and easiest way to find Gemini is to use Orion as a guide to Castor and Pollux. 1. Locate Orion by its 3 bright stars making up Orion's Belt. 2. Track Northwest from Orion until you find the two bright stars pointing downward at a southeastern angle, these are the heads of the twins (Castor and Pollux). 3. Continue Southeast from Castor and Pollux and trace out the rest of the constellation.

Who found this constellation?

There’s a belief that William Herschel discovered Gemini in 1787, he also discovered planet Uranus and two other moons.

How they found this mythology..

It originated from Mother Leda, she had twins but different fathers, which is Tyndarus (Castor’s father) and Zeus (Pollux’s father). Castor was a horseman, and Pollux was known for his great strength, both were adventurous known for their good looks. The mortal one, Castor, soon passed away after spending a night together with Pollux. He couldn't move on without having Castor by his side, therefore he decided to ask Zeus for help. Instead of killing Pollux so he can be with Castor in the afterlife, he made Castor also immortal, so that him and Pollux can be together, and is now a Gemini.
